then I saw them! Thieves! Let´s stop this illegal
activity!
Good
evening madam President Mister Toastmaster, fellow toastmasters and most welcomed
guests.
Some
people ask me what is my daily job.
I usually answer them that Toastmasters.
And they ask me again job you normally do to pay bills... You mean my night
job I ask them? Yes ladies and gentlemen. I am security. You can see me with this badge on my arm as a door supervisor or bouncer, you can´t usually
see me with this badge as CCTV operator and you can see me but you would guess
if I am working with this badge as close protection operative or bodyguard
taking care about somebody rich or important. But the rule is that I will be
there incognito not wearing my badge and having it in pocket.
As
door supervisor I have to patrol sometimes throughout the
premises. I remember one time like
it was yesterday. It was cold like
last Friday and foggy. I patrolled
as usual throughout premises. I have
seen a lot of things throughout my work. Homeless sleeping on premises where I patrol, activities where drug dealers tried to sell drugs coulpes looking for place to... well
what have you been thinking of course to pee, but this thing I saw first time. I approached end of my patrolling route where I had to turn and heard suspicious noise. It was 3 o´clock in the morning and this time
usually noone is there. I looked closer. They had ladder leading to the window of opposite building let´s called it luxurious flats and they just went out
with the loot. Quietly just whispering. They left it there like they headed to get a car. I saw them but they didn´t
see me. I felt fear and
excitement. Wow this is worse then
toastmasters! What should I do? I counted to three and got the first idea
that come to my mind into practice.
I will call the police. From
reasonable distance I called to the control of my building. Control,
control we have situation here.
Control control we have situation here! I suspect
someone is stealing from luxurious
flats! I was also nearby security
collegues that worked for my premises. Guys, I need your help! We need
to secure opposite building,
somebody is stealing from there! I showed them the place and run for help from company that actually
is responsible for protection of luxurious
flats. They have already been notified about situation and called the police. Guys I will show you where this is what I found! Follow
me! They took a car their dog and followed me. The place is secured, my guys said. No one came here and we believe that someone is still inside. Three
police cars arrived. They started to
search the building and bang! They caught him.... Almost.
But what is important burglars
didn´t carry away their loot. Crime didn´t win. This time. Maybe it was 1:1- draw.
I

that work while we are sleeping.
Who care about us whether they are policemen, firemen, emergency services, security or anybody not mentioned here.
