My vision for the Area 58

Good evening mister President, mister Toastmaster, fellow toastmasters and most welcomed guests.

Ladies and gentleman most of you already know me. My name is Peter and I am Area 58 Director which means I have 6 public speaking clubs where I help them grow and be strong. We gathered together for this briefing for 3 reasons. First of all I want to share my vision as Area Director. Then I want to share with you couple of important dates that will follow that would be great if you can briefly think about and finally I want to introduce my new team that will help me but most importantly you with your toastmaster journey. At the end of my presentation prepare questions that you may have and I will respond at the best of my knowledge.

My Vision?

I believe we should have area that is the most enjoyable and sociable to visit in London, people that are helping each other and people that are not friends but family. And I believe we should focus on this aspect of Toastmasters that is in London missing. There is a lot of people but people often don´t care. I had been on one conference and lady presenting there said one thing I probably remember till the end of my life. "London can be a lonely place." And I want to be among the people that care, meet, talk, share ups and downs, share passions, pain and joy, learn from each other and encourage each other and never leave friend behind.

Important dates in near future

In the near future we have 3 important things. 1st is Area competition that will be held here in this place exactly next Wednesday starting 6:30pm. In 2nd December Wednesday I am planning to have Club Officer Training. I hope to see you there dear member of the committees. Another important event will be district conference 6th to 8th November where you can see winners of humorous speech and Table Topics contests from whole Division. The best from the best from 4000 members of Toastmasters from south of UK. In the program there are also educational speeches, trips, gala dinner, beer tasting but what is more important amazing people. Till the end of the September is early bird prize in place. My team is also attending.

When I mentioned my team

I want to introduce my team which I got together this week Monday and by pure coincidence will be from one club only. Feel free to talk with them about the issues that will appear in your clubs.
