Lost Contract - Peter Varholak

Good evening madam Managing Director, Senior operations manager, dear employees.

Ladies and gentleman most of you already know me. My name is Peter and I am operations manager within the company. We gathered together in this room to acknowledge you about the situation that recently happened in our Fire prevention company Platinum.

In one of our detached places Cigarette warehouse that we are supplying services to site management found in recent weeks some minor breaches in contract like in some firestands there weren´t two fire extinguishers but only one, some services were delivered late like regular checks of fire extinguishers or haven´t been done at all like fire prevention check. But one check have been absolutely critical and it was check of all fire detectors. 5th of July 8:08 fire broke up in Cigarette warehouse. And our detectors didn´t react at all. Fire had been stopped with equipment on the place and fortunatelly didn´t cause any harm to people working inside at that moment but still caused extensive damage to the property and we lost our contract.

This situation directly influence all of us. In recent weeks I have seen the signs of overworked employees, I heard quite a lot of rumours and gossips but I didn´t believe in them because facts were otherwise, we lost some of employees due to various reasons and surely this could be prevented with persuassive and clear communication from the side of management and with supplying clear instructions and with introducing pernament supervisor to such important place like Cigarette warehouse is. This place is relativelly small in terms of revenue but every place is important and we didn´t pay enough attention to it. I don´t blame anyone for it and I accept full responsibility for loosing a contract and for shadow on our company reputation. So far we had excellent track record and I believe we will have again.

Of course I can´t forget about most important people in this company: you, our employees! Yes we lost contract but it doesn´t mean you will loose your place. You will be reassigned to diferent possitions on existing places preferably according to your choice. My secretary has all the details of available job assignements and you can register your interest with gentlemen from human resources department at the back of the room.

Last thing I offer you no empty words but a promise: I promise that I will never ever in the future underestimate any detachement workplace and that our company will be awarded as the best Fire prevention company on the world again!
